Fleet-Smart Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) technology provides the driver with real-time monitoring of the cargo, dispatching, communication and navigation capabilities. The MDT works in conjunction with the AVL Reader installed cargo RFID Locks and Seals for cargo monitoring. This MDT communicates through the Fleet-Smart™ Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) GPS Tracking Device which provides location information and communications. When installed inside the truck cabin, the MDT is powered by the truck’s battery, and backed up by an internal power source.
Multiple Communication Interfaces The MDT is equipped with 2 USB full-speed host ports, and 10/100 Base T Ethernet. It has software –configurable RS-232/422 serial ports for control and administration.
