Complete visibility into every single aspect of the truck delivery process Millions of shipments of cargo on today’s highways and railways, are exposed to risks from theft or even the unspeakable - terrorism. Sophisticated systems exist to protect and provide visibility of where the cargo is. Most utilize some form of GPS technology accepting gap in coverage or latency. However, we provide full end-to-end visibility into every aspect of the cargo delivery and management process. Fleet-Smart AVL for cargo security gives truck operators a new level of protection against theft while providing improved efficiency for logistics and distribution management. Our system provides continuous monitoring of loads, such as valuable fluids and dry bulk from initial dispatch and origination, until final destination and delivery.
Real-time ReportingThe Fleet-Smart AVL Solution for Cargo Security has end devices called Hi-G-Locks™, Hi-G-Seals™, and Hi-G-Tags™ that are electronic seals that have been customized to “sense” the openings and closings of each of the sealed hatches, doors or valves. These locks, seals, and tags can also contain all of the necessary shipment information if needed. The Hi-G-Tek locks, seals, and tags then communicate with a mobile or fixed DataReader. For real-time visibility, the DataReader connects to the GPS Satellite and GSM Cellular radio device to send real-time reports to the Fleet-Smart AVL remote control center. Reports contain details about the location of the tanker truck and every incident of opening and closing the container’s hatches, doors or valves.
What makes the system unique?
Different from other devices, the seals are battery
operated, reusable devices which are easy to install and provide equal
protection and monitoring for both unloaded, returning loads,
loaded, and outgoing loads. This comprehensive feature addresses
the following:
- Save Time and Money instead of manually inspecting every seal, hatch and valve - every time, you only inspect the exceptions (reported and un-authorized openings).
- Avoidance of theft and loss of cargo the protection of cargo throughout the journey and in storage areas by providing immediate alerts when unauthorized changes in status occur.
- Avoidance of mistakes proper matching between mobile and stationary equipment, truck-trailers, carriers and storage facilities.
- Improved Efficiency by minimizing the need for manual inspection of every item.
- Improved productivity in the process of loading and unloading by providing real-time visibility and control of all operations associated with the cargo at the right source/destination.
- Added reliability by visually providing status indication of the cargo and personnel at any given time to the driver, the operators in the control center.
